ViBGYOR International Film Festival-
Third Edition, Feb 13 - 17, 2008

The five day VIBGYOR International Film Festival organized at Thrissur from February13-17, began at 5.30 pm on Wednesday, February 13^th in the Open air theatre Peechi. `Celebrating identitites and diversity’ was the central theme, while The environmental focus for the year was 'ENERGY'. and `EASTERN INDIA' was the Regional focus. The Opening Ceremony was presided over by Rajaji Mathew Thomas MLA and the festival was formally inaugurated by Ms. Lilly Francis, President, Pananchery Panchayath, along with a group of 14 filmmakers from all over the world who came to ViBGYOR with their films.

The Village Vibgyor took place in Places like Kannara, Peechi, when Law college, Amala Medical college, Vidya Engineering college, Jubilee Medical college and Mannuthi Horticulture college hosted the Campus Vibgyor.

 The Closing ceremony of VIBGYOR was held on February 17^th at Town hall, Thrissur, in which Ambady Venu, President Zilla Panchayath inaugurated the session and Ms. Vasudha Joshi presentedm the ViBGYOR awards.Around 5000 women and men participated in the film screenings at the 3 venues in Thrissur town, in the `Village ViBGYOR’ sessions held in different centres of Pananchery Panchayath and in the Open Forum discussions, Media exhibition, Music Nights and other activities.
